If your living room is north-facing or doesn’t receive a lot of light, you can still enjoy luscious greenery – you just need to choose your plants wisely. Most houseplants will prefer bright, indirect light over full sun all of the time (too much sun can burn their leaves) so try to keep them away from the window if you can.

Rick, one of our corn plants (or Dracaena fragrans), is an impressive indoor plant who thrives on minimal attention. With just a bit of care, he’ll grow tall and strong — and can even sprout small, white flowers if you’re very lucky. Perfect to brighten up a dark corner.
