  • Chaz, Brown Striped pot & secateurs likes...

    • Light watering

He likes to dry out a little between waterings. Give him a drink whenever the top two inches of soil feel dry.

    • Medium light

He’ll be ok in a semi-shaded spot, but he’ll grow much better somewhere that gets lots of light but not direct sun.

    • Humidity

He likes a moist atmosphere. He’ll appreciate misting every few days, especially when the central heating is on.

  • You’ve heard of the big cheese, now meet the little one. Chaz is our resident Monstera deliciosa, or Swiss Cheese plant, and this smaller size adds a charming pop of green to shelves and sideboards. We’ve paired him with our statement hand-painted Striped pot and our signature secateurs, which you can use to manage the size of your plant, prune any older leaves to encourage new growth, or to propagate it. Together, this trio makes a great gift for plant lovers (yourself included).

Monstera deliciosa are pretty easy to take care of and will tolerate surprisingly low light, making them a great option for first-time plant parents. You may notice that this younger plant doesn’t arrive with the signature holey leaves characteristic of Swiss cheese plants. These signature notches will develop as the plant matures – in the wild Monsteras grow in the crevices of larger trees, and the holes allow light to reach the lower foliage.
