  • Bringing a slice of the Mediterranean to gardens, patios and balconies, Vivi the lemon tree is one of the view citrus trees that produce fruit in British weather. She really is the best of the zest.

You don’t need to put too much effort in to be rewarded with lemons from summer through to autumn – just keep Vivi in a sunny spot, make sure her soil stays lightly moist, and give her a feed once per month in spring and summer. When her fruit appears, don’t panic if it’s green – they will ripen over time. Not every fruit will reach maturity, as it will only put energy into a few at a time – snip off any ripe lemons so Vivi can put focus on growing more.

Once the sunny season is over, bring Vivi inside for winter (when the temperature reaches 10°C) until the weather starts to warm up again in May or June.

This bundle comes with our Dipped tumbler pot in sunshine yellow. There’s no need to repot your Vivi – just pop her in her nursery pot straight into the decorative pot. If you do choose to replant your citrus tree, or if it’s time to repot – every 2 to 3 years – be sure to use a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.3.
