• About Orchid ‘Boquetto Sensation’

  With over 25,000 types of orchid, there are plenty of styles to choose from, but we have a particular soft spot for the peaceful ivory blooms of Lara, or ‘Boquetto Sensation’. She’s the perfect match for our Dipped tumbler pot and FRUU’s Earl Grey bath salts, creating a soothing gift for someone who needs a little TLC (yourself included).

  For a happy orchid – and lots of flowers – put yours in bright, indirect sunlight. Overwatering is the most common way to kill an orchid, so always check the pot first. If it feels heavy, leave it alone. If it’s light, it’s time for a drink. Lara will fare better with rainwater or filtered water (she’s not one for tap). 

  To encourage your orchid to flower more, feed it orchid fertiliser in spring and summer, and deadhead any faded flowers just above the bud. This will help your orchid put more energy into growing spectacular new flowers. Unlike most houseplants, orchids love being root-bound so they won’t need repotting often. Instead, refresh the soil with orchid compost every 2-3 years.
