Robin is a Rubber plant, so-named because of the white latex coursing through his veins. Once upon a time he was used to create rubber, but now we enjoy him as a leafy houseplant. This smaller version brings a cheerful pop of greenery to cosier spaces, adding life to desktops, shelves and cabinets in an instant.
Give him all the care he needs and you’ll be rewarded with a striking plant that will be a focal point in any room. He likes a medium level of light and watering only when the top two inches of soil are dry. He will also appreciate a feed with liquid fertiliser once per month in spring and summer. As he’s a fan of humidity, we’d recommend grouping him with other plants – not only will this make an attractive focal feature, but together they’ll create a mini microclimate that will help their leaves stay looking fresh.
