• About our Citrus duo

  This duo includes two favourites from our citrus collection: Vivi the lemon tree who’s loved for her bright, zingy fruit, and Lionel the Calamondin, which is a hybrid of a Kumquat and a Mandarin orange. Both trees grow quite happily in British weather, rewarding us with lots of beautiful fruit from summer through to autumn with little effort on our parts. 

  As with most citrus plants, this pair absolutely love sunshine. Soaking up those golden rays is thirsty work, so keep an eye on their soil and give them a drink when the top two inches feel dry. They like their soil to stay lightly moist. 

  These fair weather plants aren’t huge fans of the cold, so bring them indoors when the temperature dips below 10°C. You won’t need to water them as much during winter – every few weeks should be enough.

  This bundle includes our much-loved Duo baskets. There’s no need to repot your Vivi or Lionel – just pop them in their nursery pots straight into the decorative pot. If you do choose to replant your citrus tree, or if it’s time to repot – every 2 to 3 years – be sure to use a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.3. Please note, our Duo baskets are for indoor use only.
