  • Known for its beautiful arrow-shaped leaves, the alocasia ‘Bambino’ is an extraordinary plant. Each leaf has striking white veins, a stark contrast to their dark green foliage. This pint-sized alocasia is a great way to introduce a different style of plant to your home.

Your alocasia ‘Bambino’ will be happiest in a place that gets plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. This plant doesn’t like to dry out completely, so consistency is key when watering. Try to fit him comfortably into your routine and he’ll thank you for it. Keep the soil slightly damp and mist regularly to keep the leaves happy and healthy. An ideal spot would be a sunny bathroom where there’s natural humidity. You can also give the leaves a gentle wipe to keep them free from dust, so they can effectively photosynthesise and absorb moisture from the air. This plant becomes dormant in winter, so don’t worry too much if the leaves fade or die back, it will return in spring. If this happens, dial back your watering schedule until it starts to grow back.

Alocasias quite like being root-bound, so you won’t need to worry about repotting any time soon.
