We’re not surprised our friendly giants are among our most popular plants, and Chaz is no exception. With his large, holey leaves and tall stature, he’s ideal for creating an urban jungle in a meeting room or adding flow and foliage to an open-plan workspace.
Chaz is a Monstera deliciosa, but you may know him by his common name Swiss cheese plant, which is a nod to his large, holey leaves. This bigger version comes with a moss pole for support (physical, not emotional) and has been trained to have especially dense foliage, making it extra leafy.
He’s not hard to take care of and is tolerant of surprisingly low light, making him a good option for semi-shaded areas (though he’ll grow much better in a brighter spot). Check his soil regularly and give him a drink if the top two inches feel dry. He will also love you if you give him a feed with liquid fertiliser once a month in spring and summer.
