About Juliette

We love Juliette for her magnificent foliage, which doesn't just look beautiful, it's amazing to touch too. These indoor plants come in a variety of shapes and sizes, all of them gorgeously ornate, looking as if a talented artist has taken a brush to them. Yet perhaps most remarkable is the way in which they unfurl their leaves in the morning to catch the daylight before curling up once more to go to sleep at night.

Details

Current height (including pot) and spread: 60-75cm x 30cm
Eventual height (including pot) and spread: 90cm x 40cm

Juliette will arrive pre-planted with plenty of healthy compost in a plastic growpot with holes in the bottom to allow for drainage when watering. As a result, this growpot will require an additional pot, which you'll find recommended in the correct size below.

Likes

Juliette prefers bright indirect sunlight so a shady spot of a brightly lit room is perfect. It important for this plant to have a high level of humidity to keep thriving. You can provide that by misting regularly. Juliette also likes it when you clean her leaves when they get a little dusty, which is best done with a damp cloth.

Dislikes

Juliette doesn't like direct sunlight on her leaves, as it will fade her impressive markings.

Looking after this plant

Juliette will thank you for keeping her soil moist between March-October by giving her a good soak approximately once per week. If her soil is still moist after one week, leave her alone for a couple of days. Between November-February reduce watering to once every 10-15 days, allowing her soil to dry out between waterings. Read up on the best watering technique here. Mist every other day to increase humidity, this will prevent browning on the tips.

To help promote healthy new growth in the growing season between April-October, we recommend applying this liquid fertilizer once a month.

Going the extra mile

If given a choice, Juliette loves to be watered with filtered or rainwater instead of tap.
