Phoebe the Canary Island date palm is a great all-rounder — she’s just as happy indoors as she is outside. Her sturdy, arching green stems will give your space that cool tropical look, and her easy-going personality means she’s perfect for the novice plant parent.
Mae the Chamaerops humilis (a.k.a the ‘European fan palm’) is an all-round people-pleaser — she's been our most popular plant at Patch since we launched in 2016. With her statement leaves and her carefree nature, she had to be in our top 10.
Fats the Fatsia japonica is a near-unkillable plant who will thrive under almost any condition. Bonus: this handsome guy will blossom beautiful, dandelion-like clusters of white flowers in autumn.
You might not be able to live in the Mediterranean but you can certainly bring a slice of it to London with our lovely Ollie - the Olive Tree. This silvery, rugged beauty is also pretty low maintenance!
Hailing from southern Europe and south-east Asia, Cory the Cordyline is an easy-to-please plant with a lovely tropical look. He comes in an eye-catching red or green, and he looks good when put side-by-side with pretty much any other plant. Low maintenance and versatile - that's why we love him.
Connie the Convolvulus likes to blow her own trumpet or, rather, trumpets, dozens of which appear between Spring and Summer. Between these creamy blooms and her ability to take some neglect on the watering side, Connie is a sure garden favourite.
Feeling a bit sickly? Cass the Eucalyptus can help - the leaves of this amazing tree are used for a variety of medicinal purposes, including in air fresheners, cough and cold meds, and soothing ointments. Deserving of a spot in our Top 10.
With her glossy green leaves and lush yellow fruits, Vivi the Lemon Tree has quick become a favourite at Patch. An absolute stunner to complete that Mediterranean vibe.
