He likes a spot that’s quite bright but out of direct sun. He’ll also be ok in partial shade.
Try to keep his soil slightly moist but not soggy. Water him whenever the top two inches of soil feel dry.
He really loves a moist environment. He’ll be really happy in a bathroom, or you can mist him every day or so.

This extremely cute houseplant is known as foxtail fern because of it’s fluffy, brush-like growth. Although it’s only small, it will bring a big smile wherever you put it.
Though it’s called a fern, it’s not really a fern. It’s actually a member of the lily family. But like ferns, it loves to grow in places where the air is humid, particularly near the coast. In the wild, you’d find it growing across South Africa, where it spreads so vigorously that some people regard it as a weed (rude).
Whatever those people might say, we think it looks gorgeous as a houseplant. It’s not hard to look after. It likes quite moist soil, but always make sure excess water can drain off. In winter, some of its lovely leaves may die off, but this is nothing to worry about. Cut off any that look sad and wait for more to grow back in spring.

This plant was introduced to Europe in the 1700s by Carl Ludwig Sprenger, so it’s sometimes known as Sprenger’s asparagus.
