Check the top two inches of Darcie’s soil on a weekly basis; she hates to dry out completely.
Put Darcie somewhere light but where the sun won’t shine directly on her leaves. She’ll be happy in a shadier spot, as long as the room gets natural light.
As a green leafy foliage plant, Darcie will benefit from a nitrogen rich feed once a month from April to September.

Aglaonemas grow outside all year round in subtropical Asia and other warm, wet parts of the world. ‘Key Lime’ grows particularly well in the Philippines and Indonesia. It’s a ground cover plant that usually grows under the dappled shade of trees. They’re grown mostly for their lush variegated leaves and in the wild produce unusual flowers and colourful fruit.
Since being brought back to Kew as a new and unusual plant in the late nineteenth century, Aglaonemas have been cultivated and hybridised to create the wide variety of beautiful ornamental houseplants that we have today. ‘Key Lime’ is no exception, with its striking white-yellow-grey-green patterned leaves that look like they could have been painted by hand. Aglaonemas gorgeous veined leaf pattern is actually captured in the name of the plant, with ‘Aglos’ meaning bright and ‘nema’ meaning thread in Greek.
The more light the leaves get, the more the pattern will stand out. And with regular watering and a feed once a month from spring to summer, Aglaonema ‘Key Lime’ will grow large and lush, adding a tropical, jungly feel to your urban oasis.
