About Kiri

Kiri is a wonderful flowering addition for a spot receiving three hours of sun or less and is one of the favourite autumnal plants among the Patch team. Her gorgeous wands of vibrant purple flowers begin to bloom at the end of summer and will go on right until November. A much needed burst of colour for the autumn!

Kiri's foliage retains its greenery throughout the year, giving rise to purple-blue flower stems between July and November.

A shady spot, the shadier the better!

Dislikes

Strong winds so keep Kiri is a nice sheltered spot.

Looking after this plant

Make sure her soil is kept moist - easily achievable in a shady spot with a water every few days in the drier months and the elements will do the majority in the autumn and winter. Cut back Kiri's dead and damaged leaves in the spring to make way for new growth.
