About Cass

Feeling a bit sickly? Cass can help - the leaves of this amazing tree are used for a variety of medicinal purposes, including in air fresheners, cough and cold meds, and soothing ointments. Pick off a few of her ailing leaves and pop some hot water on them - instant aromatherapy and sinus-clearer.

Cass is the most common deciduous tree in Australia, where lazy koalas munch on her branches all day long. We love that she's a true original - the grey-blue colour of her foliage gives her a one-of-a-kind look.

How to Care for Cass (Eucalyptus Gunii)

The basics:

Cass is super easy to look after - all you have to do is plant her in a sunny spot.

She's not that bothered about soil type either, though she prefers a well-drained one.

You don't need to worry about watering her too much - though if it hasn't rained for quite a while, it may be worth giving her a drink.

Going the extra mile:

You'll want to prune her a bit in summer so that she doesn't go mad - snip her branches a few inches down from the top with a pair of sanitised scissors or secateurs.
